National student loan debts now amount to over one trillion dollars, exceeding credit debt. To shed light on these issues, students from the St. Cloud State Sociology Department 460/560 class: Social Problems, Practice and Policy in collaboration with Students Organized for Change and the Social Responsibility Student Organization, are announcing an event to protest against rising costs of tuition and fees.

A space between Atwood Memorial Center and the Performing Arts Center has been reserved to start a Truth March this Thursday at 11 a.m. SCSU students will march throughout the campus for about an hour. After the march, people will gather in the reserved area where speakers are invited to share their thoughts on the issue and possible solutions. Local musicians have also been invited to play during the event.
