Archived: Free Classes at Quarry Park about MN Plants
Stearns County’s Quarry Park and Nature Reserve is hosting classes to teach the public about local native and invasive plants. The classes will be held on Saturday, April 14th as well as Saturday, April 28th.
Parks Operations Coordinator Peter Theismann says the event centers around the Quarry Park and you will gain knowledge about plant identification, ethno-botany, invasive management and the cultural history of Quarry Park. It is a great opportunity to learn about the plants in our parks, forests and backyards.
The event is free for all who attend. If interest in attending contact Theismann at Stearns County Parks at 320-654-4726.
