The Stearns County Environmental Services Department now has an office in the County’s Melrose office. Citizens who need to work with the County’s Environmental Services Department can choose to go to either the Melrose location or to the downtown St. Cloud Administration Center.

The staff in Melrose can issue septic permits, construction site permits, land subdivisions and other general zoning permits. Payments can also be processed at the Melrose location. The office can also provide assistance in wetlands, feedlots, and food, beverage and lodging licensing. 

The goal of moving to the Melrose location was to provide better service to residents in the western part of the county.  Hours for the Environmental Services in Melrose are 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursdays and by appointment.
