Archived: C.R.A.S.H. Task Force Results Announced
The C.R.A.S.H Task Force conducted a High-Visibility DWI saturation during the evening of March 30th.
The area focused upon was Highway 15 from Sartell to Kimball. Officers heavily patrolled this stretch of roadway and used illuminated traffic control signs donated by Geyer Signal to warn motorists that they were entering the Enforcement Zone.
98 people were stopped, 5 people were arrested on DWI charges, and 11 people were arrested overall.
The main goal of this initiative is to reduce serious injury and fatality crashes through DWI enforcement and education, which are part of the state’s “Toward Zero Death” initiative. TZD is a multi-agency approach to regionally address traffic safety issues through enforcement, education, engineering, and emergency trauma care.
