Archived: Pack the Porch Food Drive Results Announced

Over 1,300 pounds of food and $7,000 were collected at last Friday’s “Pack the Porch” food drive. The event was held at the Pioneer Place on Fifth with the goal of filling their Veranda Porch with donated food to benefit Catholic Charities’ emergency services food shelf. Of the $7,000 collected, 2,500 were matched funds by U.S. Bank.

“We are very pleased with the results” said The Charities’ Executive Director Steve Bresnahan. With the funds raised the charity will be able to purchase between $28,000-$64,000 worth of food thanks to the buying power offered by partnerships like Second Harvest Food Bank.
