Archived: Student Groups Hosting Events Focused on Israeli Apartheid

Students for a Free Palestine are announcing Israeli Apartheid week on the campus of St. Cloud State University. A series of events are scheduled to take place Wednesday, April 4th through the 11th.

The week long focus will begin with Occupation 101, a film detailing life under Israeli military rule from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Room 116 of the Wick Science Building. Apartheid: From South Africa to Palestine will be shown from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Atwood Theater.

A panel discussion on how the U.S. and Israel use walls to oppress and profit in Mexico and Palestine will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 10th in the Granite Room of the Atwood Memorial Center. The final event will feature Holocaust survivor Hedy Epstein which will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 11th in the Atwood Ballroom.

The events are co-sponsored by Social Responsibility Student Organization, Muslim Student Association, Bangladesh Student Association, M.E.Ch.A, Somali Students Association and the Saudi Students Association.
