Archived: Women’s Center to Host April Events
The St. Cloud State Women’s Center is hosting two events during the month of April for Sexual Assault Awareness Month. April has been designated Sexual Assault Awareness month with the goal to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities and individuals on how to prevent sexual violence.
The Women’s Center is hosting an Open Mic Night on Thursday, April 5th to provide students with an outlet for creative expression. All Students are welcome to come and share their talents through poetry, thoughtful writings, or their own survivor stories.
On Wednesday, April 11th featured speaker, Heather Imrie will present “The Hook Up: When it’s Hot, When it’s Not.” Imrie will educate about healthy relationships and healthy sexuality as a member of Catharsis, a theatre company known for improv style and an award winning campus program.
Open Mic Night will be held from 6-8 p.m. at The Quarry in Atwood Memorial Center and admission is free to all. Speaker Heather Imrie will be at 6 p.m. in the Ritsche Auditorium in Stewart Hall at SCSU. Admission is free to all who attend.
