Archived: Wind Advisory
There’s a wind advisory for today until 7 p.m.
According to Professor Bob Weisman, Professor of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, we can expect winds of 20-35 mph and gusts over 50 mph in the bottom two-thirds of Minnesota. Southern North Dakota, nearly all of South Dakota, and much of Nebraska are under a high-wind warning.
As those winds become southwesterly, cars could get pushed across north-south roadways and some branches could be downed. Some of the cooler air from Alberta and Saskatchewan to the north and west of the low pressure system will work its way down into Minnesota later tonight.
Highs will limited to the 50s on Wednesdy through Friday, with lows around 40. For more information, visit the SCSU weather tab.
