A Rice man is in jail after allegedly stealing a car. Benton County Sheriffs were called to Mid-State Homes Inc., located at 10864 Sues Road in Watab Township near Rice around 9:10 a.m. on Monday.

A police investigation found that 33-year-old Kevin Wolden of Hector, Minnesota had allegedly tried to break into the business, and after failing, stole a silver four-door 2006 Pontiac G6 GT. At around 10:56 a.m., the stolen car was found in the city of Rice.

The car was stopped and the suspect, Wolden, was arrested without incident. Wolden was taken to the Benton County Jail where is being held on motor vehicle theft charges.
