At 4 am on Sunday the Stearns County Sheriff’s Department responded to a call of a rolled over vehicle on 200th Street East in Lynden Township, just outside Clearwater MN.

40-year-old Dale Ellis of Clearwater was driving west on 200th Street East when he lost control of his 2005 Dodge Neon. When he lost control he began leaving the road on the north side then skidded across the road to the south side and slid into the ditch. The front end of Ellis’s car struck a tree and the car overturned and struck another tree before stopping on its roof. The car received heavy damage to the front end, passengers’ door and roof.

Ellis was treated on scene by the Clearwater Rescue Squad and transported to the St. Cloud Hospital by Gold Cross Ambulance. The accident is under investigation by the Stearns County Sheriff’s Department along with the MN State patrol.
