Early Friday morning St. Cloud Police were called to the St. Cloud Hospital Emergency Room for an assault report.

Police learned that 39-year-old Randy Allen Butkowski had been throwing items around the emergency room and when hospital staff tried to restrain him, Butkowski allegedly assaulted a 50-year-old emergency room doctor and a 29-year-old emergency room nurse.

Police arrested Butkowski for felony 4th degree assault and disorderly conduct and remained in the hospital’s care for medical treatment. The hospital staff suffered minor injuries.
