The Minnesota State Patrol has reported that a car went off the road and struck a tree in Eden Lake Township late Monday night.

Twenty-seven-year-old Samantha Christine Werner of Becker was heading northbound on Highway 22 near Edgeton Road when she drove off the road.

According to authorities, Werner was not wearing a seat belt and alcohol was a factor in the crash. Werner was taken by Mayo Ambulance to Centra-Care St. Cloud where she is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
