A suspect is in custody after officials arrested him in connection to a robbery of a local Shopko Pharmacy in St. Cloud. 36-year-old Alan Habiger is in custody for allegedly robbing the pharmacy on April 4 when he entered the store demanding Oxycontin and threatening to shoot employees if they didn’t cooperate.

Officials conducted a series of search warrants last Friday that found numerous firearms, including two assault rifles and three handguns. Methamphetamine was also found in Habiger’s vehicle. Area law enforcement agencies are looking at other recent pharmacy robberies to determine if there is a connection.

The investigation was conducted by the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force with the help of neighboring city police departments.
