On Saturday night police were called to the 1600 block of University Drive in St. Cloud for an assault complaint.

A Police investigation found that a 46-year-old male reported being struck in the forehead with a hammer by his girlfriend. 53-year-old Joann Taylor was arrested and taken to the Sherburne County Jail on charges of second degree assault and domestic assault.

The victim did not require medical attention.
