AUDIO: St. Cloud State’s Social Work Club Joins Efforts To Help People in Need

St. Cloud State University and the School of Health and Human Services will be participating in this year’s Project Connect event to help people in need.

The Social Work Club at St. Cloud State will be hosting a silent auction on October 23 in the Atwood Memorial Center.  This event is where students and the community can donate basic needs items that will be given to Project Connect.

Project Connect will be hosting their event on October 29th at the River’s Edge Convention Center.  During this event, people who are dealing with poverty and/or homelessness can receive the necessary treatment, thanks to donations and fundraising from groups like the Social Work Club.

Last year the event was able to provide over 300 basic needs bags.

KVSC’s Assistant News Director Nathan Daggett has the story.
