Archived: Bar Chef Arrested After Alleged Threat
A bar chef upset about his paycheck was arrested for allegedly threatening to stab his boss and burn down the business. It happened at around 1:00 Saturday afternoon at Trobec’s Bar and Grill in St. Stephen. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Department says 37-year-old Kenneth Hagele of Little Falls threatened to burn the business down and stab the owner after receiving his paycheck. Deputies say, at one point, the employee approached the business owner while holding a large kitchen knife. Eventually Hagele left the bar after a physical altercation with other employees. Hagele is being held in the Stearns County Jail facing assault charges.
