Paynesville Fire Department and the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office were called to a barn fire early Wednesday morning at 1:43 a.m. The fire happened in Zion Township about five minutes north of Paynesville at 21866 County Road 33.

A neighbor reported the fire and woke up the homeowner, 40-year-old Scott Kleher. Kleher estimated that the barn contained $75,000  in rabbits, horse saddles and harnesses, manure spread, plus tools and equipment. Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says the barn was a complete loss. The cause of the fire is unknown.
