Archived: Baseball Spilts with Winona

After dropping their first game of the season to Winona State last Sunday, the Husky Baseball team rebounded in the second game of their double header with the Warriors and had a comeback 3-2 victory.

Winona came out strong in the first contest and won 6-1, giving David Deminsky his first loss of the young season. In game two, the Huskies scored two runs in the 6th inning and won 3-2. Sophmore Nick Anderson pitched a nine strikeout, complete game to improve to 2-0 on the year and Jordan Smith got the big 2 run double in the 6th to secure a win for the Huskies.

Saint Cloud (5-1) will take on Bemidji State this weekend at the Metrodome for two pairs of double headers. KVSC has planned coverage for the games on Saturday starting at 12:15 p.m.
