Belgrade Man Facing Charges In Stearns County After Incident Sunday
The Stearns County Sherriff’s office have arrested a Belgrade man for allegedly making terroristic threats and obstructing legal process.
Authorities were called for a welfare check and possible domestic assault Sunday just after 4 p.m. saying that Philip Garberich was intoxicated at a home near Belgrade.
Once law enforcement arrived on scene, Garberich began to make threats towards the other people in the residence, himself, and deputies on the scene.
The deputies made numerous calls to Garberich to leave the residence. The 69-year-old eventually made his way to the driveway where he was placed under arrest.
Garberich was both verbally and physically uncooperative during the arrest and managed to break a light in the back of a Stearns County squad car on the way to the county jail.
