Archived: Benefit for Clearwater Firefighter Cory Broich

A benefit is being held for the Clearwater firefighter who was hit by a car after responding to a routine car fire alongside I-94 in January. Both of Cory Broich’s legs received crushing compound fractures along with nerve and tissue damage. He has been in and out of the hospital since and has had multiple infections in his legs. The 28-year-old father of five is unable to work and will be in a wheelchair for a minimum of 10 months.

Saturday at the Clearwater Rodeo Grounds, a benefit will be held for Cory Broich and his family. The event will feature a silent auction, beer garden, bean bag tournament, spaghetti feed and live music. The all-day event goes from noon until one in the morning and anyone is welcome.
