A 33-year-old St. Cloud woman was taken to St. Cloud Hospital after she was hit by a car while riding her bicycle on Sunday night, then had insult added to injury when she was cited in the accident by police.

According to police, Jennifer Metzger was riding her bike westbound on 10th Avenue. As she attempted to cross 10th Avenue, she was was struck by nineteen-year-old St Cloud resident Joshua Kenning, who was turning left to go north on West St. Germain Street.

Metzger was taken to the hospital for minor injuries. The bicyclist, Metzger, was cited for improper crossing of the roadway and for having no bicycle light. Kenning was not issued any citations.
