A St. Joseph man was hit by a car while riding his bicycle on Tuesday. Just before 9:00 p.m., Christopher David Hawk was heading north on County Road 2 when he lost control of his bicycle and was hit from behind by a 1997 Ford Escort.

The driver, 16-year-old Kelsey Ann Young and her passenger 16-year-old Arnianna Miel Cully were not hurt in the accident. Hawk was airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital and his condition is currently unknown. Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says the crash remains under investigation
