Archived: Changes Proposed to Metro Bus Service to Sartell

The public is invited to learn of the proposed changes to the 31 Sartell route at two informational open house meetings. The meetings are hosted by Metro Bus and are being held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 19 at the St. Cloud City Hall Council Chambers, or 5:00-6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 26 at Sartell City Hall.  Metro Bus Executive Director David Tripp says they’re interested in receiving feedback from their riders as it’s a popular route with a need for more service and better connections.

The proposed changes include more weekday departures more often and more service to the Sartell Medical Arts Campus on Connecticut Avenue and CentraCare Health Plaza. Also, the route would hub out of the Transit Center in downtown St. Cloud versus the Crossroads Center with new express service between downtown and Walmart.

Metro bus riders wanting to attend the meeting at Sartell City Hall can use the 31 Sartell route or a special shuttle from the transit center which will be departing at 4:45 p.m. and arriving at 5:00 p.m. After the meeting the shuttle will return riders to the transit center. The proposed routes will take effect in February, if approved.
