What used to be the St. Cloud Civic Center will soon be called the River’s Edge Convention Center. The city of St. Cloud revealed the new name at a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday. Funded through the city’s food and beverage sales tax, the $22 million dollar project will nearly double the size of the existing Civic Center as well as double the economic impact on the St. Cloud community. Crews are expected to start working on the project next fall.
