A teenage driver has walked away from a scary crash after falling asleep at the wheel.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says 16-year-old Alex Jacobson of Clearwater was driving south on County Road 75 when he went into the ditch. Jacobson went off the road when his car flew roughly 150 feet before landing back on the ground and running into a tree to bring him to a stop.

He admitted to police that he was driving home from work when he fell asleep.

He left the crash with minor injuries.
