Highway 55 through Maple lake is going through heavy construction starting this week.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says drivers can expect road closures, 4 way stops,  and detours. Starting this week the intersection of Highway 55 and county road 8 will be converted into a four-way stop until the beginning of June. The section of 55 between Annandale Boulevard and County road 7 will remain closed to through traffic.

All businesses along 55 will remain open during construction. The project is expected to be completed mid June.
