On Sunday around 11:30 p.m. an officer of the St. Cloud Police Department received a call in his squad car from an unknown caller attempting to purchase one pound of marijuana. A police investigation found the suspect had called the wrong number.

After several calls from the suspect the officer arranged a meeting in the 1100 block of 15th Avenue South. Upon meeting with uniformed officers the suspects fled the scene, but were quickly taken into custody.

21-year-old Kewon Donte Johnson of St. Cloud and 27-year-old Steven Ray Hendricks Jr. of Shoreview, Minnesota were arrested. During the investigation one suspect was observed trying to get rid of something in his possession. Officers then recovered $3,060 of counterfeit 20 dollar bills and small amounts of marijuana.

Both suspects are being held in the Stearns County Jail on charges of alleged felony possession of counterfeit currency.
