The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office have identified a man who was killed in single vehicle crash near Opole early Saturday morning.

Authorities identified the man as 33-year-old Jeffrey George Kalis of Royalton. The accident was reported 4:21 a.m. at the intersection of 125^th Avenue and 440^th Street in Brockway Township, just north of Opole. The caller reported the crashed vehicle in the tree line and seeing a victim, who was dead at the scene.

Deputies arrived and found Kalis partially ejected from the vehicle. Authorities are investigating the cause of crash and manner crash and fatality.

The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office is assisting the Stearns County Sheriff’s office.
