A crash resulting in injuries was caused by failure to yield, police say. Officers responded at about 2:30 pm Sunday at the intersection of County Road 74 and 33rd Street south in St. Cloud. Police say a 1996 Nissan driven by 56-year-old Hashi Yussuf of St Cloud pulled out in front of a northbound pickup truck driven by 33-year-old Joseph Luebesmier of St Cloud. Luebesmier’s vehicle then crossed the center line and struck a 1997 Chrysler minivan driven by 49-year-old Lorrie Passe of St. Cloud. Luebesmier and a passenger were taken to the hospital for non life threatening injuries. Passe and two juvenile passengers reported minor injuries as well. Yussuf was issued a ticket for failure to yield.
