Archived: Damaged Bridge Reduced to One Lane
A bridge in Western Stearns County has been reduced to one lane after a bridge examination revealed damage to the bridge’s substructure. The bridge, located just east of Belgrade, had been closed pending the results of the evaluation.
The damage to the bridge was likely caused by ice or debris. It has been determined that the south half of the bridge could handle traffic, with a reduced load posting. Drivers will be expected to yield to oncoming traffic.
