Archived: Deminsky Promoted to Fort Myers

Former St. Cloud State ace David Deminsky continued his hot pitching in the minor leagues as he made his debut with the Fort Myers Miracle on Sunday and pitched two scoreless innings.
In the game against Brandenton, Deminsky allowed just one hit in two innings before play was halted due to rain. The Sartell native got the promotion after a very impressive stint for the Twins’ Gulf Coast League (GCL) team. In 53 innings pitched in the GCL, Deminsky went 3-3 with a 2.70 ERA. The lefty showed great control as he struck out 51 batters and walked only eight.
Deminsky was an All-Conference and All-American performer at SCSU. He owns Husky records for career strikeouts with 250 and single-season strikeouts with 107 in 2010. He was picked by the Twins in the 44th round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Entry Draft.
