Demonstration in St. Cloud Saturday Against Sexual Exploitation and Trafficking

Five advocacy organizations are teaming up to demonstrate against sexual exploitation in St. Cloud this weekend.

The “Stop Traffic End Demand” demonstration is an effort to bring attention and an end to men’s sexual exploitation in trafficking, prostitution, pornography and strip clubs.

Women’s Center Director at St. Cloud State University, Jane Olsen, says the demonstration will begin at 12:45 p.m. Saturday at the Midtown Mall in St. Cloud. The group will be targeting their attention to Highway 23.

Stearns County and St. Cloud law enforcement agencies have targeted sexual trafficking in Central Minnesota for a number of years resulting in dozens of arrests and raised awareness of the issue.

The demonstration is sponsored by the Central Minnesota Sexual Assault Center, Anna Marie’s Alliance, Terebinth Refuge, Gender Violence Institute and the Women’s Center.
