Christopher Madigan, 31, of Eden Valley was driving his SUV southbound on County Road 9 near County Road 21 when a vehicle pulled out in front of him from County Road 21. Madigan attempted to avoid colliding with the other vehicle and entered the east side ditch of County Road 9. He went into a small pasture and struck a cow. The cow died from its injuries. The cow owner was notified of the situation and arrived on scene to tend to the deceased animal. Madigan did not require any medical attention and alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. Eden Valley Fire & Rescue assisted at the scene.
