Archived: Eight Students Hurt in Bus Crash, State Patrol Reports
The State Patrol is reporting eight students are injured after a crash involving a school bus and pickup truck just south of Kingston. It happened at 7:30 Friday morning at the intersection of Highway 21 and Highway 15. The bus was carrying 17 students from the Dassel Cokato School District. The State Patrol says the bus stopped at a stop sign and then crossed highway 15, when it was hit by a pickup truck traveling on Highway 15. The truck did not have a stop sign. The State Patrol says eight students were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries, and the driver of the bus was not hurt. The State Patrol says dense morning fog played a role in this crash.
