Archived: Fair Comes To SCSU To Offer Volunteer Oppertunities
A great way to become involved in the community is by volunteering, but finding the right organization to start with is not always easy. More than 30 non-profit organizations will take part in SCSU’s Winter Volunteer and Service-Learning Fair. The fair is designed to give prospective volunteers an opportunity to learn about the St. Cloud area’s many non-profit agencies, and gives community organizations the chance to interact with potential volunteers. Some of the agencies will have representatives available to provide information and answer questions about volunteer openings and will include: St. Cloud hospital, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central MN, and VA Medical Center. The fair is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. next Wednesday, January 19 at the main lounge of the Atwood Memorial Center and is hosted by St. Cloud State Volunteer Connections.
