The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office has reported that an Albany man has died from a farm accident that occurred Tuesday morning.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call about a missing individual on a farm, where the caller reported that they could not find their son and believed he may have fallen into a grain bin.

Once the St. Martin Fire Department appeared at the scene, they were able to locate the man inside the bin, who was identified as 35-year-old Brandon Schaefer of Albany.

Investigations revealed that Schaefer was inside the grain bin to loosen up frozen corn, where he fell in and was buried.  Schaefer was taken to Paynesville Hospital by ambulance and was pronounced dead
