Archived: Federal Program Available to Pay Mortgages of Qualifying Minnesota Homeowners
A new federal program is now available to pay mortgages of qualifying Minnesota homeowners. The federal program, which began Tuesday, allows Minnesotans the opportunity to apply for the Emergency Homeowners’ Loan Program (EHLP) and stands to help homeowners who are at risk of foreclosure because of economic or medical hardship and will offer up to $50,000 in interest-free, forgivable loans to qualifying Minnesota homeowners over the next two years.
Applications for the EHLP program will only be accepted from July 5 until July 22. Details on program qualifications, application and submission instructions are available at www.ehlpminnesota.com.
