St. Cloud Police Officers arrested a man early Monday morning on the 600 block of 5th Ave NE for a domestic assault. 39-year-old Anthony Brown of St. Cloud allegedly entered his ex-girlfriend’s house with a steel collapsible baton and struck her multiple times on the head and hands. According to the police report, Brown originally threatened to enter the 31-year-old woman’s house and slit her throat with a machete in her sleep.

Brown was later found at his home by officers and was transported to the Benton County Jail. He is being held for court on second and third degree assault, gross misdemeanor domestic assault, and terroristic threats. The victim was transported to the St. Cloud Emergency Room where she is expected to fully recover.
