Archived: Football Drops 3rd in a Row

The Saint Cloud State football team fell behind early this past weekend against Wayne State and could never catch up. Wayne State scored on their first three possessions against the Huskies and never looked back. Wildcats quarterback Silas Fluellen picked apart the Huskies defense, completing 29 of 32 passes for 312 yards and three scores. That wasn’t the only difficulty for the Saint Cloud defense as they also gave up 184 yards on the ground.

Leading the Saint Cloud State offensive attack was running back Brandon Geiss who had 88 yards rushing and a touchdown. Receiver Fred Williams also had a stellar day catching ten passes for 97 yards and a T-D. The Huskies are now 0-3 on the young season and return home this coming weekend to take on Northern State. Kickoff is at six p-m and that game can be heard on 88.1 FM, KVSC.
