Archived: Former Husky Gordon Wins Calder Cup

While no former Husky had their name etched on the Stanley Cup this season, St. Cloud State alumni Andrew Gordon ended his season a champion, winning the Calder Cup for the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League. Gordon and the Bears defeated his former St. Cloud State teammate Matt Stephenson and the Texas Stars in the six game series to capture their second straight league championship. The Right Winger notched 20 points in 17 playoffs games after scoring 71 points in the regular season.

Gordon played three seasons at St. Cloud State from 2004-2007 before turning pro with the Washington Capitals organization. In his time at SCSU, Gordon became a member of the pregious 100-point Club with 51 goals and 51 assists for 102 career points.
