St. Cloud State University will be presenting “Our Community: Dream, Serve Believe” as a part of their 2020 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Breakfast and Day of Service.
The University announced that Valarie Jarrett will be the keynote speaker at this year’s event, which is set to take place Monday January 20 from 8-10:30 a.m. at the River’s Edge Convention Center. Jarrett is a senior advisor of the Obama Foundation and Senior Distinguished Fellow at the University of Chicago Law School, as well as serving on several boards for other organizations. Jarrett was also the longest serving senior advisor to President Barack Obama.
This year’s MLK Breakfast will also honor first responders and veterans who serve the Central Minnesota community. Children grades K-5 are also invited to participate in numerous activities and programs designed for young children and will receive a free book.
