Law enforcement officials issued four DWI arrests on a stretch of road between Sartell and Kimball last weekend. The area that was focused on was Highway 15 from Sartell to Kimball and was heavily patrolled by officers participating in the C.R.A.S.H task force. During this time 4 DWI arrests were made and 30 citations were given, 2 for speeding and 2 for driving after withdrawal. The initiative’s main goal is to reduce serious injury and fatal crashes through DWI enforcement and education which are components of Toward Zero Deaths, a multi-agency approach to address traffic issues. The police departments of various Minnesota cities as well as the Stearns county Sheriff’s Department and the MN State Patrol participated in the C.R.A.S.H Task Force.
