Archived: Four Arrested for Trying to Steal Tires
Four men were arrested early Tuesday morning for allegedly trying to steal more than $2,000 worth tires and wheels from a truck in rural Benton County. It happened just after 1:00 am on the 2900 block of 11th Street Northeast in Minden Township. A Sheriff’s Patrol Sergeant found a 17-year-old St. Cloud boy lying in the ditch, who said he was playing hide and seek with his friends. Deputies eventually found four other men on private property nearby. The Sheriff’s Department says the men brought tools to the property and were in the process of stealing tires and wheels from a truck.
Arrested were 19-year-old Michael Swanson of St. Cloud, 19-year-old Jared Stang of Richmond, 20-year-old Kenneth Albers of Kimball, and 20-year-old Bradley Roering of St. Cloud. The 17-year-old boy was released to the custody of his parents.
