SCSU has announced the hiring of Garrett Raboin as an assistant men’s hockey coach effective immediately.
Raboin was a standout on the Huskies blueline from 2006 to 2010. He most recently played professional hockey in Europe from 2010 to 2012. SCSU head coach Bob Motzko said that Raboin is a natural fit for this position and the team. Motzko also said that as a player, Raboin was one of the all-time great team leaders in the program’s history and he has all the makings of an outstanding coach.
Raboin says he had a great four years at SCSU as a player and as an alumnus to return here as a coach is a dream come true. The Huskies will kick off the 2012-2013 season on October 12th and 13th on the road at the University of New Hampshire.
SCSU will open its home season on October 19th and 20th.
