A 12 year old girl who was hit by a car while walking in a cross walk in St. Cloud Saturday afternoon has been identified. At about 3 p.m. St. Cloud Police responded to 8th Avenue and University Drive for a reported accident with injuries. Police say 12 year old Ashley N. Lund of St. Cloud was had been hit by a car driven by 24 year old Ferezer Yimer of Brooklyn Park when she tried to cross the street in the crosswalk. Officers say stopped cars that were blocking the view of Yimer were the cause of the accident. The victim was taken to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
