Archived: GLBT Experience During Holocaust Commemorated Through Song
Saint Cloud State University will be hosting “Unsilenced” starring the One Voice Mixed Chorus commemorating the GLBT experience in the Holocaust. One Mixed Chorus is Minnesota’s gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and straight allies chorus. This free concert will be the opening of their 2009-2010 season, and will be a concert of hope and resistance. Through music ranging from Berlin cabaret tunes to songs written in the camps, One Voice tells the story of the GLBT and Jewish communities under the shadow of the Third Reich.
This concert is at 7:30 PM November 7th at the Kimberly A. Ritsche Auditorium. An additional performance of selections from the concert will take place at First United Methodist Church in Saint Cloud as part of its Sunday morning worship service as part of its Sunday morning worship.
