St. Cloud State University will play host to a conference that deals with issues immigrants face in this country. The conference is titled “Global Goes Local” and will take place April 9th through the 11th in the Atwood Memorial Center.

The event is free to the public and will feature keynote speakers such as Attorney John Keller, SCSU cultural historian Christopher Lehman, sociologist Ruth Milkman and the chair of the University of Minnesota’s Chicano Studies Department Louis Mendoza.

The conference is sponsored by the Faculty Research Group on Immigrant Workers in Minnesota, College of Liberal Arts, School of Public Affairs, School of Health and Human Services and Herberger Business School.
