SCSU Sophomore golfer Charlie West of Victoria, MN won medalist honors at the 2012 NSIC Men’s Golf Championship held in Lake City Saturday and Sunday. The Huskies placed second as a team finishing three strokes behind NSIC champion Minnesota State-Mankato. It is the third season in a row the Huskies have finished in second place. 

West won medalist honors after a three-hole playoff with Jon Anderson of Upper Iowa. West finished with a score of three over par to take home the title. Junior Gordy Diekman of Alexandria, MN finished in 8th place for SCSU.
