SCSU’s Associate Dean for Multicultural Affairs has been appointed to a prestigious committee by Governor Tim Pawlenty. Dr. Carolyn Williams is now a member of the Governor’s Council on the Martin Luther King Holiday. The purpose of the council is to plan the activities and events in observation of the Martin Luther King federal holiday.

Dr. Williams has been at SCSU for more than ten years. She has served as a consultant for the National Science Foundation, as well as the federal and state Department of Education. Her term on the Martin Luther King council will expire in April of next year.
