A man is in custody after firing a gun in his apartment. St. Cloud Police went to the 1600 block of University Drive Southeast for a gunshot complaint around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. A police investigation found that 46-year-old David Triston Shank was in his apartment with a neighbor consuming alcohol and handling numerous firearms.

Police say Shank pointed a .22 revolver pistol at his wall and intentionally fired the weapon. No one was injured in the incident. Shank was taken to the Sherburne County Jail and is being held for intentional and reckless discharge of a firearm.
